Inspired by the students wishes, this project is designed in the form of a conglomerate of small houses in the forest, like a village in a clearing. The kinder-garden, grammar school and middle school are layed out on both sides of a central linear path. The many windows and transparent walls of the complex merge the school with it's green surroundings.
The beech trees run through the main axis, creating a symbiosis between building and nature, and the blurring of the separation between interior and exterior. In the middle of the path, an indoor square contains the main common spaces: the cafeteria, the gym and the library.
These polyvalent spaces allow the development of school activities while also giving possibilities to exchanges with local activities. |
