A small space in the Sainte Marthe quarter in Paris was redesigned to accommodate a photography gallery. The glass façade facing the street opens entirely by means of a pivoting door. When the door is open, a portion of it exceeds outside, becoming a surface for the banner of the current exhibition.
Pivoting panels expand the amount of exhibition walls by hiding a technical room, an auxiliary exit door and a window. The indirect light fixtures were designed to provide the exhibition walls with a uniform light which avoids drop shadows. The color of light was studied not to alter the color of the exhibited work. |
